GL Archive

A personal catalog of Girls Love series, films, couples, and the people behind them — organized for navigation and discovery, not passive consumption.

Editorial philosophy

GL Archive does not host or redistribute content. Every link on this site points to an official platform or legal source — streaming services, studio channels, network pages. The goal is to make GL content easier to find and navigate, while keeping traffic and revenue with the studios and artists who create it. Supporting the people who make GL is part of taking care of the genre.

The archive is inclusive by design. The default view includes series from other genres that contain GL storylines, not only titles that are "pure GL." GL rarely exists in isolation — it shows up in ensemble dramas, fantasy series, mainstream romcoms. Cataloging that context is part of the work.

Curation is human, not algorithmic. Entries are manually reviewed. Categories, relationships between titles, and editorial notes reflect considered choices — not automated scraping applied at scale. When something is wrong or missing, it gets fixed by hand.

GL Archive exists to help people reach the right official source, not to replace it.

This is a map, not a destination.

Classification system

GL Focus

Indicates how central the GL relationship is within a title.

  • Core — the GL relationship is one of the main narrative axes.
  • Secondary — a relevant GL storyline exists, but it is not the primary focus.
  • Subtext — subtle or implied GL presence, often without explicit confirmation in the narrative.

Series status

Reflects where a production is in its lifecycle.

  • on-air — currently releasing episodes.
  • completed — finished airing.
  • coming-soon — premiere date confirmed soon.
  • announced — officially confirmed, without a release date yet.
  • in-production — actively being produced.
  • rumor — unconfirmed or pre-announcement tracking.
  • cancelled — production stopped or never released.

Groups productions by cultural sphere rather than strict geography.

  • Thai
  • Asian
  • Western
  • Other

Couple role

Describes the importance of a pairing within a specific series.

  • Main — central or co-central pairing.
  • Secondary — supporting but narratively relevant pairing.

A couple may have different roles depending on the series.

About

GL Archive is maintained by one person as a personal project. It started as a way to track what was airing and where to watch it legally, and gradually evolved into a broader archive focused on navigation, relationships, and discovery within the GL landscape.

Acknowledgments

To the studios, networks, writers, directors, performers, translators, and production teams bringing Girls Love stories to screen — thank you for making this genre worth cataloging.

And to the fan communities who watch, discuss, subtitle, archive information, and keep enthusiasm alive across borders — this project exists in part because of you.

GL Archive is a work in progress. Entries are added, revised, and improved continuously.

GL Archive is a static site built with Astro. Data is curated from TMDB and official YouTube channels, then maintained locally — no database, no automated publishing pipeline.
